Don't you think it's sad

When something is lost,

That can never be retrieved?

Don't you think it's sad

When something is tossed,

Into the deepest ravine?

Don't you wanna cry

When all you do is try,

But you never succeed?

Is it not worth the lie,

When so much time goes by,

And you still haven't been seen?

Don't you hate it when

You take all the wrong paths,

To land in a dead end?

Don't you love it when

All you do is wait,

And you start to pretend?

In a never ending spell of guilt,

That there might just be that special friend

Who lends and tends, but never is seen

Because they aren't real enough to be?

Isn't it bittersweet,

When you start going crazy,

Just enough to fall in love

With an image on a T.V.?

And just when it's about time

To draw the line

You fail- thinking this is all benign?
